Salary: £18,000 - £23,000
Location: South Wales

Our client, an established and leading Training Company are looking for an experienced Construction Youth Tutor to join the team to deliver classroom and vocational assessment and training. This opportunity offers excellent company benefits and a strong career path.
Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will need to pass industry security checks.


Key Responsibilities:


* Conduct initial interviews including assessment activities with learners using a range of tools
* Plan the learning and assessment process with learners, observing and recording assessments completing all relevant documentation
* Complete and maintain accurate records including the 'individual learning plan' to the minimum required standards
* Deliver sessions which include direct teaching and the use of a variety of teaching strategies / methodologies to support delivery of both classroom and placement based teaching and assessment
* Develop and utilise lesson plans for each taught session incorporating topics relating to whole class teaching, individual, paired, group and differentiated activities
* Provide focused support to those learners who are pre-entry level, or may have specific learning needs
* Achieve appropriate qualifications in a timely manner
* Working closely with the learners' learning coach to identify progression opportunities
* Completion of all training and learner related documentation and paperwork to ensure correct content and accuracy, including monthly reviews of progress
* Maintaining good working relationships with all key stakeholders
* To support all administration duties as required including contacting learners who fail to attend placements or centre training, tracking attendance
* To comply with the companies safeguarding policy & procedure and the code of conduct
* To attend external meetings and networking events as required
* Attend relevant training / personal development programmes


The Ideal Candidate Must Have or with the willingness to work towards:


* CAVA qualification or equivalent qualification
* Experience of working with young people
* ESW Communication Level 2
* AON Level 2
* 8375 practioners award L3 or equivalent
* ESW Communication Level 2
* AON Level 2
* 8375 practitioners Award L3 or equivalent
* CAVA Unit Classroom based delivery

Experience of working with Vulnerable Adults
Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
Must have good knowledge of training industry and current practice in the sector
