Our client a leading specialist within its field is looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader to join their successful team based at their site in Chepstow.

Job Purpose

To oversee the production process to ensure the flow of work meets the required deadlines. Allocating work to, and overseeing the work of the production team. To provide supervision of the production team and to deal promptly and effectively with problems within your control and report those that cannot be solved. To ensure that company KPIs are met.

Responsibilities and Activities:

* To ensure that all items assembled on the production line are correct and of the required standard
* Ensure that the production line runs effectively, and personnel are utilized to their optimum to meet production targets
* To carry out all quality control checks as required
* Machine setting
* Fault find and report any defects or problems
* To record all production data and update computer system when required
* To carry out maintenance and cleaning of equipment when required
* To ensure the production area is kept in a clean operative state
* Record level of consumables i.e. protective tape and printer labels
* Provide cover for opposite Team Leader during holiday periods prolonged sickness
* Ensures that the Health & Safety requirements of the Company are adhered at all times, identifying and reporting any potential safety issues to the relevant personnel
* To be responsible for the security of building at the end of the shift
