Job Role: Team Leader (RTA Counterclaims)
Salary: £27,000-£35,000 (DOE)
Hours: 35 hours - Monday to Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our busy Defendant Specialist Counterclaims team based in Solihull.
The purpose of the role is to supervise a team of case handlers, running caseloads of defence and counterclaims files, and/or support staff, alongside running your own reduced caseload. Using our in-house case management system, you will use your technical legal knowledge to handle files from initial instruction through to completion.
Your previous experience of managing a caseload of counterclaims files will enable you to make informed logical decisions when managing the team, on the prospects of a case and aid you when deciding on quantum and liability.
An excellent understanding of defendant and claimant handling practices in RTA litigation alongside interviewing techniques and experience of running a caseload of RTA personal injury cases.
Experience of managing an MOJ caseload is desirable. Experience of managing a fast/multi track personal injury caseload is essential.
Knowledge of all claims proceeding under Part 20 of Civil Procedure Rules is considered to be an advantage when applying for this role.
Experience of supervising and working with a team of case handlers, supporting them and assisting to resolve any problems or queries with their caseload is essential

Effective time management skills with the ability to ensure the team meet SLA's and tight deadlines.
An ability to share knowledge and offer training to your team to improve their effectiveness and aid career progression.

You will join an expanding team of counterclaims specialists based in our Solihull office. You will report directly into a Partner, who will support and guide you by sharing their extensive technical knowledge. You will be required to share your ideas on strategic tactics with your team and contribute suggestions to the running of their cases.
