We are recruiting for a highly experiences Customer Service Supervisor from a freight forwarding and logistics background. You must be highly motivated and commercially minded with extensive hands on freight and logistics experience. You will be supervising a successful and fast paced customer service team with a leading specialist global logistics provider. The successful applicant must have the ability to work under pressure using their own initiative and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maximise profitability and minimize costs

* Ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against jobs

* Ensure staff follow Company policies and procedures

* Development of new and existing business

* Maintain close relationship with customers

* Liaise with business development team

* Monitor and resolve any customer complaints

* Liaise with other departments to resolve issues

* Conduct competence reviews of all direct reports in line with policy

* Support the Branch Manager with regards to Health & Safety compliance

* Strong working knowledge of customs procedures

* Experience of preparing quotes

* CONTROL Job Booking

* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

* All round freight forwarding and logistics industry knowledge

* Excellent commercial awareness

* Effective communicator with strong team leading skills
