Our client a leading specialist within the Recycling Industry is looking to recruit an experienced Household Waste Recycling Centre Manager to join their successful team based at their site in Llanelli.

Main purpose of the role:

* To manage the day to day operations at all Household Waste Recycling Centre's and Transfer Stations in accordance with Company requirements
* To ensure strict legislative compliance
* To be responsible for budgetary cost control
* To be a member of the Company's Management Team

Role Responsibilities:

* To ensure the health, safety and welfare of operatives and visitors to the sites by applying the appropriate company rules, regulations and operational procedures at all times
* To ensure that the daily operations conform to the site licence, working plan, environment management systems and relevant legislation
* To ensure all Household Waste Recycling Centre's operate to maximise recovery of materials
* To be responsible for the transportation of materials at the HWRC's and Transfer Stations and to hold the appropriate Operators Licence for the vehicles used
* To ensure daily checks of all vehicles and plant is undertaken and to organise repair and maintenance when required
* To organise and monitor the hours worked by drivers to ensure Road Transport Working Time Directive is strictly adhered to
* To monitor and keep an accurate record of transport fuel utilised within the operational scope
* To update and organise the staff rota for the Household Waste Recycling Centre's and to source contracted in labour
* To be the main key holder for 2 sites, to ensure the building is opened in the morning, secure in the evening and to respond to any 'out of hours' alarm calls

The successful candidate:

* Proven communication skills
* Full driving licence
* Relevant Certificate of Technical Competence to manage Household Waste Recycling Centre's and Transfer Stations
* Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Transport (CPC) qualification required
* The ability to understand and communicate vehicle and plant safety checks
* In depth understanding of relevant legislation, environment management systems and the ability to understand the Company's specific role in materials recovery
* Time and People Management Skills and ability to work within deadlines
