Main purpose of job:
General administrative support for the Environment, Health & Safety Manager
Health & Safety
Maintaining and publishing health and safety information, posters, guides etc and recording same; maintain accident database; follow up accidents and near misses; liaise with colleagues to investigate serious incidents and if necessary reporting same to H&S Executive; maintain first aid requirements for all sites; reporting to and Secretary to Health & Safety Committee; carry out risk assessments; support the Environment, Health & Safety Manager in their responsibilities for health & safety.
Member of and Secretary to Environmental Committee; carry out internal Environmental Audits; maintain Duty of Care Manual and other records in support of ISO 14001:2004; support Environment, Health & Safety Manager in their responsibilities for environmental issues.
Participation in Induction programme; organise/lead and record all EHS training including first aid, chemical spill, etc., ensuring sufficient numbers of staff are accredited/trained.
To act as a representative for the EHS Manager in her absence at meetings ensuring any directives are prior approved. To assist in any other reasonable tasks related to the Company's activities.
