Engineering Team Leader

Location: Tonypandy

Salary: £30,510

Our client a leading manufacturer are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join the busy team at their state of the art facilities.

Role Summary:

You will provide a reliable and efficient maintenance service to the production departments in order to help reduce costings through improved machinery maintenance and delivery of a successful TPM program. To provide a reliable and efficient service to the customer (Production) and to support them in their quest for a quality product, on time and efficiently every time.

Key Responsibilities:

* To deliver a service that ensures customer satisfaction, resulting in minimum downtime to production

* Supervise, monitor and report on all service work on an on-going basis

* Help reduce the cost of internal remakes, parts and repairs through improved machinery maintenance

* Facilitate purchase orders for the procurement of maintenance related items for the department

* Produce cost saving analysis as and when required

* Provide risk assessments and PUWER assessments in line with KPI's

* To create a safe working culture by ensuring total compliance with the legal requirements and safety standards set out in the health & safety policy

* To be a key team member in delivering a successful TPM program throughout the company

* Occasional out of hours response needed as with any role within the maintenance department

* Undertake the Line Management responsibility to ensure formal performance reviews are conducted when applicable

The Successful Candidate:

* Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications

* Take ownership and accountability for own actions

* Have previous experience within a team leader/supervisory role

* Will encourage and motivate other to achieve goals

* Must conduct regular reviews of team members

* Previous experience of recruiting high calibre team members
