Electrical Technician Starting salary £26,000 plus 15% shift allowance £29900 no weekends)

Overview

* To maximise the site and departments machines' output and maintain the manufacturing processes within the designed specification.

* To work safely with other team members to continuously improve manufacturing performance and assure quality product.

Key responsibilities

* Provision of engineering and operational support to the site manufacturing areas

* Supporting the mechanical team with machine setting, to achieve product specification and performance

* Maintenance of automated inspection systems

* Fault finding and corrective action

* Machine inspection

* Responding to breakdowns

* Preventative maintenance

* Supporting with major breakdowns

* Preparation of sub-assembly

* Other tasks as reasonably requested by the Team Leader or Manager

Qualifications required

* A formal qualification in appropriate subject ONC/HNC, BTEC/City and Guilds in an Electrical Engineering Discipline/apprenticeship

* 17th Edition Wiring Regulations

Experience

* Knowledge of high speed and/or food processing / packing machines /paper production

* Machine setting

* Fault finding and problem solving

* Plc, pneumatics, robotics desirable

* Adaptable and able to connect with others

* Team orientated/ collaborative

* Able to operate & take decisions independently/ enjoys autonomy

* Self-assured/ credible

* Flexible
