Our client based in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, are seeking x 2 experienced Digital Print Operators to join their successful business on an immediate basis. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience operating a flatbed digital print machine, Individuals who have general machine operator knowledge and no print familiarity may be accepted with a view to providing further training to up-skill into the role.

Duties

Operation of large format digital flatbed machinery

Laminating of printed materials

Proofing and printing various components from a wide variety of industries to include Gaming, Blue Chip and Electronics.

Other ad-hoc duties as requested by the senior leadership team

Skills and qualities required

Time served print operator in either Jetrix, Inca, Vutek, Canon Oce, Mimaki, Durst, Agfa, Epson and Roland printing equipment. Knowledge of Inkjet UV and Inkjet Solvent inks is advantageous.

A good eye for detail along with excellent quality control standards.

Basic understanding of flat sheet substrates i.e. glass, plastics, acrylic, polycarbonate and powder coated metal surfaces. Ability to manage own workload and adhere to production targets.

Co-operate and liaise with neighboring departments on their production requests.

Able to problem solve minor issues and ensure work flows efficiently through your process.

Preventative maintenance, maintaining a safe and clean work area, as well as adhering to the company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Laminating and finishing would also be advantageous

Hours of Work

Days 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday

Afternoons 2.00pm - 10.00pm Monday to Friday

Nights 10.00pm - 6.00am Monday to Friday

Due to business demand, the successful candidate would need to possess a flexible approach to working hours, as there are occasions when seasonal customer demands prevail. You will be supplying printed products to the finishing and packing departments, so occasional weekend work may become available within your job role or within a bordering department.

Remuneration

Good rates of pay dependent on experience as well as rapid progression for the right person .

Overtime working rates paid at a time and a half weekdays/Saturday, Sunday at double time.
