Centric's client based in Tredomen ( Ystrad Mynach ) are looking to employ a Clerical Assistant on a temporary ongoing basis.

JOB PURPOSE

Assist in the provision of high quality clerical support to Engineering and Transport across a range of administrative and clerical duties in line with policies and procedures.

Proactively contribute to process, system and service improvements through the development of constructive relationships with technical staff, team members and members of the public.

DETAILED TASK PROFILE

Provide accurate and timely general clerical support

Using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or similar IT software to carry out work that involves word processing, spreadsheets and presentation graphics.

Effectively update information, data and systems

Responsible for updating records including service requests, parking permits and other record storage databases.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

QUALIFICATIONS

5 GCSEs Grade A*-C (including Maths and English) or equivalent. Or Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualification Framework or working towards attainment within 12 months of commencement of employment.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of and proficiency in a variety of IT packages, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Confident to answer phone calls and respond to general queries.

SKILLS

Good numeracy, written and verbal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships.

Accurate and quick data entry skills.

Reliable and committed approach to customer care, with the ability to deal professionally and politely with clients over the telephone and in person.

EXPERIENCE

Experience of working in a technical environment would be an advantage.
