Our client a leading specialist within the Training sector is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Advisor to join their successful team based at their site in Bridgend.

The post holder will be a qualified and competent salesperson and administrator, with skills applicable to selling and consulting on a broad range of products and services. They will co-ordinate and promote our clients open course events and work as part of a team to ensure course numbers are maximised and successful.

The post holder will hold a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with both organisational decision makers and other key external stakeholders. They will maximise opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with all clients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively develop business for the open programmes in line with the marketing and business development plans provided

* Proactively fill open programme events by using existing client records, calling prospects and client retention

* Maximise cross-selling and up-selling opportunities on all incoming enquiries and through client relationship management

* Telephone calls to cold and warm prospects to increase volume bookings for open course events

* Attend events and networking meetings as required

* Organise meetings for our in-house training department to follow up

* Updating records and systems as required and according to procedure

* Scheduling courses and tutors if necessary

* Tutor related purchase orders

* Handling of course bookings

* React meetings, training planning and admin

* Contribute to continuous improvement projects as required

* Proactive addressing of customer concerns and/or feedback

* Liaising with finance and administration staff as required

* Event management

* Contribute to marketing planning as required

The successful candidate:

* A proven track record within sales and Administration

* Excellent telephone manner

* Good organisational skills

* Have access to a car is essential
